How long does it take to build a website?
Depending on the complexity of the type of site you require and timely supply of requested information, a typical website can take 2-4 weeks to complete. Ecommerce websites or sites that require custom development take 4-8 weeks.
Will I own my website?
Yes - Once you have completed payments for your website, you will own your site 100%. You will be supplied a document listing all account details, website admin login, CPANEL access and FTP access. Should you ever wish to move your website to another hosting company this document provides all the information you will need to do that.
We will continue to ‘share’ all rights to the design work so we can use your website design in the promotion of the Pixelfire business. For more information please refer to our Terms & Conditions page.
When my site is finished will it be on page one of Google?
The short answer is no. To see your website in the organic listings on page one of Google, for a keyword phrase you would like to be found for takes time - especially if you have high competition in your industry. We provide SEO services that address the tasks required to get your site onto page one of Google. Typically, those tasks include Blogging, Facebook Posting, On-Page SEO Corrections and building Backlinks from various sources. See out SEO & Digital Marketing Services page for more details.
Do you provide domain name registration?
No we don’t. We advise you register your domain name yourself so that you own it completely. To register a .com.au domain you will need an ABN. We recommend Cheap Domains. The price is typically $38 every two years.
Do you provide website hosting?
Yes - Our websites are built on our Melbourne based Litespeed Servers. Our website hosting is secure and comes with unlimited bandwidth.
Please note: We do not build websites on other web hosting platforms because we cannot guarantee your site will work on those platforms correctly. Many web hosting companies enforce unwarranted restrictions, additional costs, PHP version limitations, convoluted setups etc - all of which takes extra time when communicating with them. Therefore, it is not efficient for us to work in this manner.
Does my website come with email accounts?
Yes - We set our customers up with Gsuite - Google’s professional email service. Each account comes with 25GB space, costs $5 per month per account and includes telephone support. Should you ever wish to move your site away from us, there will be no disruption to your email service.
Web Hosting. We only design & develop websites on our own, Melbourne based servers. New customers receive the first 12 months website hosting free on our Website Hosting Standard 3GB plan valued at $480+GST per year. All websites include SSL Certificate installation. Website hosting fees are non-refundable.
Security - To deter most hacker attacks we use the WordFence security plugin and alter the default website login URL. Although we do everything in our power to protect your site we cannot guarantee that your website will never be hacked. As a precaution against hacker attacks we have automated daily website backups. Website owners also have the ability to create backups at any time which can be downloaded to your computer. Server uptime guaranteed 99.9% and bandwidth is unlimited. Server maintenance does not count as downtime. No compensation is paid for server downtime of any kind.
Cross Browser Compatibility. Our websites are designed to work on modern up to date browsers. We do not guarantee website design for out of date browsers.
Turn Around Time. Most websites are live within 4-8 weeks depending on the complexity of the site required. You will be advised if your site may take longer. Scheduled time frames are an approximation only. Should we take longer to build your website, it is because we need to do so and no compensation will be given.
